the create retreat

a
I am back from 3 days of teaching at the CREATE Retreat in Irvine, CA. As usual it was a wonderful experience but boy oh boy was it A LOTo juggle with baby and husband (I am used to doing this stuff alone!) and something I had been fretting about for months leading up to the experience! But I am happy to say that I made it through the drive, three nights in a hotel room with a baby, teaching all day and one night and nursing a baby through it all- thanks to my wonderful husband and partner in crime!

Alisa - I had a great time in all 3 of the classes I took with you!!! You did a great job of teaching, demoing ALL the techniques and checking on each of the students. Everyone was so involved with their work - we loved it. Talk about getting to play and experiment - it was great. I see my blue and black cloth made it on for the Beneath the Surface class made it "taped up" on the post - I really enjoyed doing that. I also loved doing that journal stitching in the Make Your Mark class - what you said about the sewing machine being your pen really rang true. My little flower project was the last picture here - I am really excited to try painting first and then stitching all over it - I think it will be amazing. Thanks for inspiring as always! Cheers to hubby and baby for helping you so much.
